Habbo is a virtual world / social networking site that reaches over 16.5 million people globally and has a captive teen audience who can be considered leading opinion formers.
Habbo has built a very successful advertising business in the UK with clients such as 20th Century Fox, COI, P&G, NSPCC, Revlon, Sega, PlayStation and Paramount Pictures using the site, to name a few.
We are now looking for an Account Manager to come in and augment the team and help take the France Ad business from strength to strength.
We offer clients a range of advertising solutions ranging from standard display inventory to more creative and integrated bespoke solutions such as creating branded rooms, virtual events and in-world activities to bring client’s brands to life in the virtual world of Habbo.
As such, we are looking for an outstanding individual who has a good consultative approach, creative flair and is not afraid to break down doors and forge relationships with key customers in order to win new business.Ideally, we are looking for someone with a minimum of two to three years sales experience on the media owner side and with solid media agency and / or client contacts.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Be the public face of Sulake and Habbo face-to-face amongst their patch of agency, client and PR contacts
- Conduct a high volume of external sales meetings
- Source a high quality and robust pipeline of advertising prospects
- Create highly profitable integrated ad deals
- Meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with designated patch of key UK agencies and clients direct from planner level right through to Group Account Director level and beyond
- Be seen as an expert on the youth audience amongst our clients and agencies
- Regular reporting of sales figures to the European Sales Director, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and UK Country Manager
- Keeping on top of leads on competitive media offline and online
Characteristics required for role:
- A strong negotiator face-to-face, on the phone and in-writing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual french/english
- Strong presentation skills
- A highly consultative approach who is able to see the bigger picture of where Habbo fits into the media mix
- A creative thinker, able to think laterally and come up with strong, fresh innovative campaign ideas for clients business needs
- Commercial acumen – able to identify and maximise Habbo’s business interests from an advertising point-of-view in the industry
- The ability to use research and insight to come up with robust and cohesive sales arguments
- A self-motivator who can organise their own time effectively, carry out simultaneous projects and meet deadlines
- Good contacts throughout the media industry
- A minimum of three years sales experience on the media owner side and with solid media agency and / or client contacts.
Key Success Criteria:
The Account Manager’s performance will be measured using the following criteria:
- Over achievement of secured revenue versus personal and team targets
- New pieces of business carried and gained from key accounts
- Number of creative integrated deals brokered for the site
- Number of cutting edge media-first style creative campaigns successfully secured
